Become an aunty and share your children’s pre-loved clothing

Join the club

We pair mums with an aunty who has a child around a year older, and of the same gender. This ensures an ongoing relationship where clothing and support can be continuously shared.

If you have pre-loved children’s clothing, becoming an aunty is a wonderful way to give back and sustainably recycle. Your support can make a significant difference in another mum’s life.

As a mum you know how challenging it can be to carry the mental load of your whanau and keep up with all things required of the ‘mum’. With a one-on-one connection your pre-loved clothes will be going straight to a mum/family in need.

As an aunty you will play a crucial role in supporting New Zealand mums to get through this often isolating and hectic time.

An aunty relationship will take different forms depending on the individuals matched.

Every connection is unique, tailored to the needs of both the mum and the aunty. We encourage clear communication to ensure the relationship works well for both parties.

Your relationship may include:

  • Passing on pre-loved children’s clothing ideally once every 2 months
  • Regular communication – text messages or phone calls
  • Coffee catchups or other get togethers
  • Additional practical support such as toys, vouchers, or meals

aunty club isn’t just about swapping clothes; it’s about fostering connections, reducing waste, and moving towards a circular economy.

– Happy aunty

Share the love

Every mum deserves the support of an aunty. We aim to share this love and support with as many people as possible.
