Our vision is to provide a platform that helps connect mums looking for support all around New Zealand
About the founder
Alice is a Wellington mother of two young children, George, and Maisie. She was inspired to start aunty Club after a health scare in 2021.
Alice was fortunate to have friends and family rally around and support her, but she could not shake the feeling other mums need more support. As an incredibly practical person she got onto it straight away, and in leaning on her network she started to get a clear understanding of what was needed and where the genuine support was most required.
It was through this discovery phase for aunty club, where she visited a number of facilities helping to support young and solo mums and children that she was resolved to make this work and that is what keeps her motivated to this day.
Her idea is a powerful one, she believes that if we all do our bit to help others, we will create a ripple effect that will change the lives of families and communities across New Zealand.
Our trust and charity status
The team behind aunty Club is of course a group of aunties. Founder Alice, her sister Jen and sister-in-law Megan have established the Aunty Club Charitable Trust.
Based across New Zealand, in Wellington, Auckland, and Christchurch the trio have our largest cities covered and big aspirations to support many more mums and families.
Our future
Connecting mums is what we do, but there is so much more we as a wider community we can do. Building awareness is a big aspect that we are hoping to achieve.
We want every mum to know they are not alone; this is really hard, and you need support to thrive. Our key focus beyond connecting mums is to attract funding and sponsorship to supply more essential support for the needs of families, with petrol and supermarket vouchers top of our list. We will be fundraising through events and collecting donations and sponsorship.
If you can support, please do!
